The original movie of Jef Cornelis was 6 hours and captured the iconic exhibition of Jan Hoet "Chambres d'Amis' In Ghent in '86.
A live television show of a gigantic art exhibition in the entire city of Ghent. Can you imagine?

They had a live studio with art critics, helicopters flying around, reporters running from place to place interviewing all different people. A crazy idea that resulted in this amazing live show. With artists as Buren, Panamarenko, Jef Geys, Roger Raveel,...

While they were wondering if you could use television as a medium to capture visual art. We are now 34 years later wondering if we can capture visual art trough social media, during the lockdown a lot of initiatives are trying to keep showing work trough all different media, a lot of the same questions they had in '86 are popping up as if not so much has changed.

Instead of 6 hours this video is 13 minutes.
At this point you can see the (almost) full version on the website of vrt.nu (4 hours)
